Overview

Bluesky is a decentralized social networking protocol. It is being developed by Bluesky PBLLC, a public-benefit LLC that was established by Twitter.

Key Concepts

  • AT Protocol: The Authenticated Transfer Protocol, the underlying protocol that powers Bluesky.
  • Personal Data Repositories: Users have control over their own data.
  • Interoperability: Different social media apps can communicate with each other.

Getting Started

  1. Get an invite code: Bluesky is currently in private beta, so you need an invite code to create an account.
  2. Create an account: Go to the Bluesky website or download the app and create an account.
  3. Set up your profile: Add a profile picture, bio, and display name.
  4. Start posting: Start posting and interacting with other users.
